The African Caribbean Care Group for the Elderly (ACCG) is a care group affiliated to major voluntary organisations and recognised by the Social Services Departments of Manchester and Trafford. The ACCG is a registered Charity N.o: 1028464 and a company Limited by Guarantee N.o: 2802745.

Membership is £7.00 for 12months. A chance to interact and meet with other African Caribbean elders. Activities such as Bingo, Dominos, Arts and Craft lessons including sewing and painting are available. Exercise classes and more recently an internet cafe where the use of computers is encouraged is open to all members. Lunch is also provided including, Starter, Main meal and dessert, all for £2.75.
Is provided so that staff are equipped to deal with emergencies i.e First Aid, Moving and handling, Dealing with people effected by stroke and also for our Kitchen staff; Infection control, Food Hygiene.
Staff meetings are held once a month, they usually last a couple of hours. A discussion of issues which affect the organisation are discussed. Board Meetings are held once a month, where the Board of Directors meet to discuss happenings within the ACCG and any relevant community issues. Community meetings take place every Tuesday.
